Where I’ve come from

“Peyton, who’s driving your life?!”  I asked myself that question for the first time at 30 years old in a period of crisis, and found that I did not know the answer.  Growing through that rudderless time, I learned how vital it is that we steer our own ships, developing awareness of what brings us stability, happiness, and satisfaction.

In the spring of 2016, I launched PB Coaching & Consulting, a firm dedicated to providing guidance and strategic planning to individuals and organizations.  My partners and I are dedicated to fostering inclusive, honest, values-based institutions and to helping individuals move forward with confidence and clarity.

My professional background

​

As a school administrator, consultant, and coach, I have helped people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and needs take their next step with skillful intention.  I speak and offer workshops to groups of parents and professionals about improving communication, community culture, and leadership.  

​

Over the past twenty years, including as Head of School Life & Facilities at Pacific Ridge School (Carlsbad, CA) and Upper School Dean of Students at Moravian Academy (Bethlehem, PA), I have developed and led Student Support teams, shepherded institutions through major physical and cultural transitions, and guided hundreds of adolescents as they have taken control of their lives--one goal and one day at a time.

I am enriched daily by the 24 years I have shared with my wife, Ellen, and our two teenaged sons who have taught me more about living with purpose and fulfillment than I ever imagined possible.   I love spending time cooking, playing baseball and basketball, and creating home-improvement projects that I occasionally finish.  I look forward to meeting you and talking about how we can serve you, your family, and co-workers.
